Objective: To describe the history of female circumcision,to explain the circumcision of Islamic view on women,and to explain the purpose of female circumcision in Egypt at social and cultural life

Findings: Results from this study was that female circumcision in Egypt was the cultural heritage of ancient times and was also affected by the thought of Islamic scholars in interpreting the law of female circumcision. In addition,the madhhab-madhhab had different Islamic views on female circumcision law. In the social and cultural life,the Egyptian people had confidence in the circumcision of women so that women have to do traditional footing
