Objective: To investigate the perception and attitudes of female doctors towards female genital mutilation/female circumcision (FGM/FC)
Study Population: Female Doctors
Findings: Of the respondents,90% believe that either culture or traditions with or the latter together with religion and reduction of sexual desire are the reasons behind continuation of the practice. Thus,emphasizing an overwhelming role of culture and traditions,which seem to be embodied within a syndrome that resists the positive change of attitudes
