Findings: This study showed the presence of the severity of injury among women with FGM compared to non-circumcised women. There are sufficient reasons to conclude that FGM carries physical,sexual,obstetric,and psychological damages to women health. Irrespective of the size of the risk of FGM,increased obstetric complications,and the morbidities can justify the cessation of the practice. The improvement of the women’s socio-cultural status in combination with planning programs to enhance their information and awareness as well as trying to change the cultural leaders’ viewpoints regarding this procedure is essential to reduce FGM and its burden on women healt
