Objective: Our study looked into this political context and the current public policy agenda with the aim to better understand the specific logic of the intergenerational transmission of FGM.
Study Population: first-generation immigrant women from sub-Saharan regions
Findings: Three issues emerged: the questioning of social and cultural reasons for excision/infibulation,breaking the intergenerational silence and the will to take a new position.
