In the literature, treatment choices are not extensively documented, and published research are of poor quality. Despite this, there are numerous treatment methods and guidelines for FGM-affected women. To successfully treat women with FGM,health care professionals should be knowledgeable and sympathetic. They should also educate women of potential repercussions and legal considerations. Society should be informed about this procedure and should encourage open communication within the society, especially between men and women.
