Objective: to identify the implimentation challenges that the joint programme implementing countries have been experiencing due to covid-19. to assess the impact of covid-19 on FGM and identify the challenges resulting from the pandemic. To identify lessons from the covid-19 response implemented and determining lasting strategies.
Study Population: girls,women,youths,FGM media
Findings: difficulty in knowledge and information sharing in the early stage of lockdown.Disruptions in social and gender transformative interventions. Limited access to the FGM protection and response services,particularly in remote areas. Shortage of FGM response and protection services,including healthcare,social welfare and justice.difficulty in collecting primary data and evidence.
